Katrina says, “I fail to understand why people must constantly focus on just one aspect of an event,’’ says Kat. “I’m not complaining because I know that if you are in the eye of the media, it only means that you are important enough to them. However, my bumping into Shah Rukh or spending time with him at an event is just a regular thing. I think people should stop trying to look for controversy in every nook and cranny. All of us are here to work. And we have common functions to attend. Naturally, when we’re under the same roof, we will interact. Why make a fuss? Who wouldn’t want to associate with Shah Rukh or Karan Johar?’’

Kareena Kapoor has not gone topless for her upcoming movie Kurbaan’s poster, according to director Rensil she has just gone backless.

Director Rensil D’Silva says, “It is a scene from the film. I don’t think it is different from what you will see on Channel [V] or any music video. It is just a lady’s back and a guy’s bare body.
If you look at it closely, you’ll see that she’s backless, not topless. We have used high levels of prosthetics in this film to show intensity like gunshot wounds.
This picture has a lot of relevance to the film and that’s why we thought it was appropriate to make this the film’s poster.”
“My favourite scene is the poster scene. That depicts the whole film. That some love stories have blood on them gets evident from this poster.”

Kurbaan also starrs Saif Ali Khan, Vivek Oberoi,Diya Mirza and Kirron Kher.

A source from the movie says, “An important part of the film’s narrative requires the character played by Amitabh Bachchan to surrender in front of Ringmaster, which is played by Sanjay Dutt. Though this was always a part of the script, there was all an around apprehension around the shooting of this scene. Sujoy and others feared how exactly would millions ofAmitabh Bachchan fans accept this scene. For Sanjay Dutt too it was challenging since Amitabh Bachchan is too big a name to be kneeling down.”

However, the professional Amitabh is, he didn’t hesitate to shoot the scene.

Director Sujoy says, “That’s the beauty of working with Mr. Bachchan. He lets himself be driven as wanted by the director. We were a bunch of kids wondering how to approach Sir to do this scene and there he was game to do whatever that went well with the character. He has always stated that once he is committed to a project, he doesn’t protest on anything. This is why we could can such a crucial scene without any hindrance. It is indeed one of the highlights of the film.”

Amitabh is a Genie in Aladin movie and Sanjay Dutt is The Ringmaster/Jaffar.

It’s the latest way of promoting a flick, Salman Khan after the success of Wanted in single screen theatres, has turned a ticket seller in singe screen theater – Delite to promote and sell the tickets of his upcoming flick London Dreams.

Salman who said at the booking clerk’s table to sell advanced autographed tickets of London Dreams to fans says, “It was Vipul’s idea to connect with audience.Every film needs promotion and it should be done differently for movie.”

Everybody is talking about Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif’s chemistry in the promos of Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani and the reason behind it is Kat-Ranbir’s great camaraderie off-screen.

Katrina talking about the flick says, “It’s an ordinary love story about ordinary people leading ordinary lives, but told in an unusual way.”
Ranbir agrees with her, “That’s the perfect way to describe it.”

Talking about their chemistry Ranbir says, “Chemistry is not something that two individuals have, it’s what two characters have in a film. It’s great that people are seeing this chemistry because this is a romantic film. I am happy that people can see it even in the promos of the film.”
“Katrina was constantly bullying me and I was constantly complimenting her.”

There’s no doubt that they are looking rocking together.

Shilpa Shetty got engaged to her long time boyfriend, a businessman from London yesterday.Shilpa wore a stunning Manish Malhotra saree and uncut diamond jewellery designed by anmol Jewelery.

A spokesperson from Anmol Jewellers says, “Yes we are designing the engagement jewelery for Shilpa. We have basically designed the necklace, earrings and bangles. All the jewelery has been custom made. We will also be designing her wedding jewellery but I am not authorised to speak about any more details right now.”

Apparently the date of wedding has also been decided.

The flick will be called The Commissioner and will show Lalit’s childhood his struggle and his success as IPL’s chei.

Managing director, Shailendra Singh says, Lalit is an intriguing person. He made the IPL a phenomenon and multiplied the BCCL’s income by hundred in one year. We spent a year researching his life and now we know more about him than the man does about himself.”
Bollywood movies based on cricket, like Lagaan and Jannat, have been successful. The combination of Bollywood and cricket makes for a potent story and I’m sure the youth of India would love to know more about the man behind the IPL success story.We’re here to entertain, so it will be a fictionalised biopic. We’re following the lines of Guru, the movie based on the life of Dhirubhai Ambani,”

Shailender wants SRK to portray Lalit, he says, “I’d like to have Shah Rukh Khan for the lead role, as both men are dynamic and have high energy levels. They have similar personalities. Shahid Kapoor or Irffan Khan are also suitable for the lead role. While Irrfan is a complete contrast to Lalit’s personality, he is an intense actor and will be able to carry off the role well.”

Let’s see if this flick will rock like IPL.

Aishwarya Rai is helping her business manager for his upcoming flick based on a war widow. Hari Singh is Aish’s business manager for 12 years and she will be doing a cameo in his movie without charging a single buck.
The movie will be directed by Jagmohan Mundra, who directed Aishwarya in Provoked and Ash will be playing the role of a lawyer who fights the widow’s case int he climax.

Jagmohan says, Hari Singh approached me to direct a film that tells the emotional and heartrending tale of a war widow, and I have agreed to do it. Ash has a special appearance in the film and it will certainly be the USP of the movie. It can’t be called a cameo as it is an extremely crucial character that gets all the attention in the courtroom drama. We are expected to shoot next year as soon as the rest of the cast is finalised. I’m thrilled to team up with Ash again.”

Hari Singh’s daughter will play the main lead in the flick.

Director Tarun Mansukhani apparently wants somebody to play a real gay in his Dostana sequel, unlike John and Abhishek who pretend to be gay.

A source says, “Riteish wasn’t keen on playing a gay character. It’s a risk for any mainstream Bollywood actor to take on such a role. He politely refused, but he was disappointed that his one of his best friends, who had many films on the floors, had offered him an insignificant role.”

However, Tarun till date has finalized only John-Abhi for the sequel, nobody else has been cast for other roles.

Sultry actress Shilpa Shetty will get engaged to her long time boyfriend industrialist Raj Kundra tomorrow.

A source reveals,”The engagement ceremony will be a simple and private one held at Raj’s 7th floor flat in Juhu. It’s very hush-hush and only close family and friends will attend. Shilpa and her family have decided to go ahead with engagement date after much deliberation and consultation with family astrologers, including her mother Sunanda.”

Shilpa apparently was a bit reluctant to get engaged without sister Shamita, who is in Bigg Boss house, . “Shilpa was keen that Shamita too be a part of such a special event in her life but the time is extremely auspicious. Finally, she gave in to the pressure,” says the source.

Shilpa will be wearing a Manish Malhotra saree for her engagement, “The saree is simple with no embellishments like crystals or zari work, but a thin gold border. The choli is vintage and in different shades of gold with gold tassels. The saree has been deliberately kept simple as Shilpa will be wearing heavy rubies, diamonds and emeralds in ornaments designed by Anmol Jewellers,” the source adds.

However saif’s says there’s more to Kurban than the intimate scenes, he says, “There’s much more to the film than intimate scenes.“But, yes, the intimate moments are bold and honest. Just as the action scenes are raw and bloody. And the songs, genuine and real. Or the story — brutal and shocking.”

When Saif is asked about audience not being interested in their intimate scenes,’coz they have been a couple for a long time, Saif says, “But what happens in Kurbaan is that two great actors — if I may call myself that — come together and do what they’re best at. This is whatKareena and I do to earn our living. It’s been widely reported on our holidays and days off… now you see it on screen.”

Now that’s a bold statement.

A source says,”Ranbir has donned eight different looks in the film. He impersonates as the Pathanwala, halwaiwala, a corporate officer etc. He has even donned the Charlie Chaplin look in the film.”
“Ranbir had been gifted an entire Charlie Chaplin series by his friend which he studied it diligently. He has put in a lot of research for the role right from Chaplin’s clothes to his walk to his comic timing.”
“When Shyamli(costume designer) met Santoshi, he clearly told her that he wanted her to make Ranbir’s character to appear very real. He did not want anything that would look over the top on screen. Shyamli worked hard on Ranbir’s eight different looks. In fact it has turned out to be exceptionally good on screen.”

A soruce says,”The ad was shot by Prasad Naik along with foreign technicians. Her look is quite similar to that of Lara Croft with a black jumpsuit, tightly coiled hair and whipcord body.”
“Chronotech is a very sporty watch. It required a very glam cum sporty ambassador for the ad. Kareena was the apt option and has been signed for a whopping amount. Where in one ad she is dressed as a cat woman, the second ad sees her in a soft gently mermaid look.”

A source says,“Producer Boney Kapoor announced Most Wanted as he was keen to repeat the magic of Wanted by working with the same team again. When Prabhu suggested Nayanthara’s name for the female lead, Boney, who knows that the actress is a big name in the south, was glad to have her on board.”

When Boney was asked about the same, he said, “Nothing has been finalized. We have just got an idea right now and are working on it.”

Nayanthara is incidentally director Prabhu Deva’s alleged girlfriend.

Freida Pinto recently saved a fan from being hit by an oncoming car. Freida was shopping in London with boyfriend Dev when the fan rushed towards her to greet her.
Freida unaware of her running fan, turned around and collided with her fan, the fan fell on the road.

A eye-witness aid, “As Freida turned around, she bumped into the fan because she didn’t see her. Afterwards, Freida made sure the woman was okay. It was quite a shock for all, especially Freida and the fan.”

No body was injured during the incident.

Some of you have hated it, some of you have loved it – Kurbaan’s promotional poster featuring bare-bodied Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor has everybody hooked to it.

Talking about the poster Kareena says, “Everything is symbolic including Saif’s wound and my wet hair it represents passion, sensuality and emotional violence. Kurbaan is a love story with an undertone of violence a combination of love and violence. Everyone – from my mom to my sister Karisma is eagerly waiting for Kurbaan to release. It will remain one of my top three favourite films along with Omkara and Jab We Met.”

It’s also the first flick where Kareena has dared to bare alot, talking about her passionate scenes Kareena says, “Not once did I feel awkward while shooting any scene for the film. It’s always easier to shoot for romantic and passionate scenes with someone you are dating, because of the comfort level.
Also I am very close to Rensil D’Silva (the director) while Karan is like family and I trusted them completely. I knew whatever they shot would come out very classy. And the poster proves that.”

Producer Karan also talks about Bebo-Saif’s steamy scenes,, “Kareena and Saif were very comfortable with the romantic scenes. It also helped in the passionate romantic scenes as Saif and Kareena are a couple. That helped them in the comfort zone. They are also very credible, talented and professional actors who can convey passion and sensuality with conviction. Bebo and Saif had trust in our aesthetic sense and our campaign while Rensil’s vision and Rahul Nanda’s (publicity designer) expertise has made it a mind-blowing poster.”

SRK to be honored by Korea

SRK, after being honored by many foreign nations, will now be awarded with a special honor by the Korean government.

A close buddy of SRK says, “These developments took place a couple of weeks ago. Shah Rukh will be conferred with a Black Belt Honorary in Taekwondo. Not only that, he will also be the ambassador of the Korean Culture and Tourism. SRK is mighty excited at this and feels modest that he is going to be the recipient of such a prestigious honour.”

Respective delegates have arrived in India from Korea, and SRK is quite honored and touched by the Korean government’s gesture and has given his not to accepting the honor.
