Shahrukh Khan receives French Honour



Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khanreceived the coveted French honour Officer dans l'Ordre des Aris et desLettres (Officer of the order of Arts and Letters) by the Ambassador ofFrance in India, Jerome Bonnafont, at a special ceremony at the GrandHyatt.

With this honour, Khan joined the ranks of Hollywoodstars like George Clooney, Clint Eastwood, Robert Redford, MerylStreep, Bruce Wills and Leonardo Di Caprio. Arundhati Roy is the otherfamous Indian recipient of this award.

The honour is given bythe French government to people excelling in the field of art,literature and/or influencing the art and culture of France.

A French delegation was also present on the occasion, for the first Rendezvous with French Cinema in India.
