Mujhe Ghar Jaana Hai: Katrina Kaif

Katrina Kaif

Katrina Kaif is presently in the US shooting for her Yash Raj film, New York directed by Kabir Khan (Kabul Express) starring John Abraham and Neil Nitin Mukesh.

It has been over a month now since she is out in the US and before that she was busy shooting for over a month in Ooty for Rajkumar Santoshi’s Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahani along side Ranbir Kapoor. So in total its been two months that she is away from her home.

“I am feeling homesick now” admits Katrina. “I have been busy working and have had no time to meet my family for a long time now. I really miss home.”

So homesick was the actress that Katrina says that she invited her pretty sister Isabelle to spend some quality time with her. “Isabelle was on a vacation. Since I insisted she flew down here to spend sometime with me.

My professional commitments have keep me busy. But I am thankful to God that my family flies down to meet me whenever they can.”

The biggest celebration that Katrina looks forward to is the family reunion during Christmas.

“I am trying my best to see if we can all be together. I want to be with them at least during Christmas. That will be my best Christmas present” says Katrina. “I hope no professional work comes up then. I have kept my fingers crossed from now.”

Shilpa's hot bod finds a new fan Karan Johar

Shilpa Shetty

We all know that Shilpa Shetty is one of the most well maintained actresses in B-Town. She has carried off her great body really nicely all these years (almost 15 years now)!

Currently K JO too is going gaga over her physique (of course apart from John Abraham's chiseled physique which he's flaunted so much in 'Dostana')!

It's after seeing her in the finished product of the item song 'Shut Up and Bounce' which she has shot for 'Dostana' he's said, "Shilpa has done a sizzling job but the credit also goes to Tarun (director) and Vaibhavi Merchant (choreographer)."

Composed by Vishal-Shekhar, the track is an introductory song picturized on the film's stars — John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan in Miami. Tarun and Vaibhavi wanted a hot actress to be with them. We all brainstormed and felt that Shilpa undoubtedly has the best body in the business."

New director Tarun Mansukhani is also singing her praises, "She is the quintessential bikini babe. She was comfortable about wearing everything and is very dedicated. We were to shoot the song in seven days but completed it in four and a half."

A friend of Shilpa adds, "The actress had stopped doing item numbers as people had stopped taking her seriously. She was concentrating more on performance-oriented roles. When Karan asked her to do the song, Shilpa wanted to hear it out.

The moment she heard it, she loved it and agreed instantly. When she landed in Miami, her baggage went missing. But she went shopping with Manish and bought stuff from designers Gucci and Dolce & Gabbana to wear."

We think flaunting her toned body will give her more fame, name and money that trying to hunt for performance oriented roles and try showing off her debatable acting skills!

Neha Dhupia & Ritwik make their affair public

Neha Dhupia

The 'People' magazine brings out yet another celebrity confession in its November issue.

We are indeed talking about the gorgeous Neha Dhupia and the 'squashing shuttler' (no pun intended) Ritwik Bhattacharya, who had been denying their courtship for a very long time.

The good news is that after having made Deepika and Ranbir confess their profound love for each other, this magazine now carries Neha and Ritwik's confession about their ongoing relationship!

This issue sees Neha going on record to say that, "There has been a lot of speculation in the press about our relationship. There were stories about us not being together".

To which, Ritwik adds that, "People who needed to know always knew about our relationship. Also, now we are more comfortable with each other.

So, I guess this is the right time to talk about our relationship." The two also speak about their take on past relationships, on taking the next step, on marriage, on parents' reaction etc...

All in all, it's a must-buy for all you Neha fans and even otherwise!

Vidya Balan has a problem with John Abraham?

Vidya Balan
The latest is that Vidya Balan has walked out of a David Dhawan film.

A source has reportedly said, "Vidya is not doing UTV's 'Hook Ya Crook'. Vidya felt that after 'Salaam-E-Ishq', she and John needed to do a film which had substantial roles for both. She had reservations as Dhawan's heroines don't have much to do except sing, dance and look glamorous.

She voiced her concern to the director who promised to make changes in her role. Vidya wants to do more women-oriented roles. As she didn't want to upset David, she quietly opted out though the producer and David are insisting that Vidya is still doing it."

Vidya's spokesperson insists that she's not doing the movie because of the date issues. But the buzz is that it's because of the presence of lead actor John Abraham!

Looks like this has a lot to to do with the rumours of the linkup between the two on the sets of 'Salaam-E-Ishq'! Maybe Vidya isn't game for controversies anymore!

I was the original replacement for Aishwarya Rai: Deepika Padukone

Deepika Padukone
Deepika Padukone wants nothing more than to do a sports -based film. And if it is about badminton then nothing like it.

"Look at what Chak De India did to hockey. I'd love to do a really good film on the game of badminton which is the family game."

In fact efforts are on to put a project like this together.

Deepika recently played bandminton with her dad Prakash Padukone recently. "We were playing together after a really long time.

I like to contribute as much as possible to sports. Yes, I'd support badminton more than any other sport. But I'd like to support Indian sports in every way possible. This was the first time that we played in front of the media."

While doing the intricate stunts and martial arts in Chandni Chowk To China Deepika Padukone got herself a chronically sprained ankle. "The stunts in Chandni Chowk To China were tough. Fortunately I got no broken bones. But I got a twisted ankle which will remain with me. My left ankle will remain sprained for all my life.

I sprained it once while rehearsing and then I sprained the same ankle at exactly the same place twice again. Luckily it's not a fracture. But I can't sit cross-legged or sit on my hunches…I can't do anything that requires me to put my weight on my left leg."

Being from an athletic family Deepika always wanted to do an action film. "Yes, I always wanted to do an action character. I'm glad I got an opportunity. Akshay Kumar was a fantastic co-star. The way he comes on the sets and goes through the scenes of the day and the way he improvises, is tremendous."

Deepika Padukone is doing the maximum endorsements. Last heard turned down the Nakshatra diamond deal after Aishwarya Rai's contract ended. They finally had to go to Katrina Kaif.

What is the truth behind this?

Says Deepika, "I don't know who else they went to. But they did come to me. And things didn't work out. I'm as selective about my endorsements as I am about my movies.

I'd definitely endorse brands that I believe in. I'd like to represent brands that suit my age. I'm endorsing the Signature brand for Levis, Kingfisher airlines, Tissot. I'm good at time management. That comes from being a sport person.

I started travellimg at a very young age. That taught me to be punctual. Sometimes one has to wait for things to happen on film sets. That's okay. There're so many things to be taken care of. So no, I don't get irritated by delays on film sets."

So what irritates Deeepika? "People who lack common sense and who lie. Otherwise I'm quite tolerant."

Priyanka and her Hottttt love-making scenes in Fashion

They only kept talking about a kiss in Love Story 2050. Harman Baweja didn't even get a peck from his real- life girlfriend Priyanka Chopra.

But newcomer Arjan Bajwa already has a full-fledged love- making scene with Priyanka Chopra in Fashion—her boldest to date, far more so than what she did with Akshay Kumar in Andaaz and Aitraaz.

Priyanka laughs off the suggestion of boldness in the love-making scene. "Please! You make it sound so HOTTTTTT! It is NOT! What's all this about explicit love scene?

Please, I'm too much of a girl nextdoor to do any of that. We don't kiss. But yes, Arjan and I do share a lovers' relationship. So yes, we do have a love scene. But it's nothing to get all hot and bothered about, not in today's day and age."

Interestingly Arjan isn't the first newcomer to do a love scene with a screen diva. Irrfan Khan had a torrid love sequence with the gorgeous Dimple Kapadia in his debut film Drishti and Shekhar Suman in his very film Utsav poured milk all over a semi-clad Rekha.

Laughs Arjan, "Was I nervous? You bet I was. Although I've done six Telugu films before Fashion I hadn't really done a love scene like this before, and that too with someone of Priyanka's stature.

To her credit Priyanka put all my nervousness to rest. If it wasn't for her I'd have died of anxiety. For a newcomer the co-star is decisive point in his confidence level for all times to come."

Laughs Priyanka, "Arjan was far more petrified than I imagined. I had to forget all my own nervousness."

Adds Madhur, "This isn't the first time that I've done intimate scenes with my lead pair. There was an even more sensitive scene between Tabu and Atul Kulkarni in Chandni Bar.

Page 3 had some really hardhitting moments of sexual content. Fortunately for me the actors trust me and my judgement. Priyanka surrendered completely to my vision. When you see her love scene with Arjan you'll realize there's absolutely nothing there that's meant to titillate."

Aishwarya's father hospitalized

This week is indeed a very stressful one for Bollywood's reigning queen Aishwarya Rai, both, on the physical as well as the mental level.

Firstly, it was her father-in-law, Amitabh Bachchan, who took ill on his birthday, and got admitted in Lilavati Hospital.

No sooner did he step on the path to recovery; Aishwarya's father, Krishna Raj Rai fell ill and was immediately admitted at Hinduja Hospital. Sources say that he had only gone there as a part of his routine check up, but was admitted immediately after that.

One really feels sorry for Aishwarya during this testing time. We sincerely pray for the quick recovery of both the gentlemen.

Kareena can't suddenly become the Beckhams!

Kareena Kapoor
Kareena Kapoor is apparently a huge fan of Victoria Beckham. Apparently she's trying hard to follow in her footsteps.

That is why she has decided to launch her own fashion website. It will reportedly feature her style tips, personal trends and more.

So that explains why Kareena decided to become a size zero and flaunt her body, he pout, her stylish clothes and boyfriend Saif wherever she goes! Don't be surprised if she decides to cut her hair and try out different weird hairstyles too soon!

But the truth remains that no matter how hard she tries, Posh is Posh and Bebo is Bebo! And this ain't Hollywood but good old Bollywood.

Saifeena can't suddenly become the Beckhams!

We would prefer her naughty and natural act in 'Jab We Met' any day! It's originality that matters after all!

Fab to Flab, Ayesha Takia to bid goodbye to films

Ayesha Takia has been the sweet innocent girl next door ever since she made her debut almost four years back.

The 'innocent' image has been so dominant that Jag Mohan Mundhra the director of the Indian version of 'The Forty year virgin' where she was supposed be the lead heroine, is panicking after Ayesha revealed that she intends to settle down and not pursue her career further.

First the other simple girl of B-Town Amrita Rao, walked out of his movie and now Ayesha's retirement plans puts him in a tight spot.

He says that innocent girls in B-Town are rare.

Yes, that's very true since everyone wants to be as bold as the Katrinas, the Kanganas, the Priyankas and the Bipashas of B-Town. It's truly easier for women like that out here!

Even the likes of Minissha Lamba, Gul Panag who only did simple girl acts and even Soha Ali Khan have had sexy makeovers after they made not too many gains being simple and sweet.

Now Ayesha's been lately fighting the flab and has appeared in plenty of inane films like 'Salaam-e-Ishq', 'Kya Love Story Hai', 'Fool and Final', 'No Smoking', 'Sunday' and 'De Taali'. But in 'Dor' she exhibited her talent, and if there were more chances like that, Ayesha might have shone brighter as an actress.

Since she has a biggie with Salman Khan in the form of 'Wanted: Dead And Alive' and another Nagesh Kuknoor (who brought out the best in her) film 'Eight by Ten', chances are people might get to see something interesting from this cherubic faced chick again.

And in the world of the not so innocent, the presence of a demure dame is highly required.

Ayesha might just realize that and decide to work post marriage too!

She won't play a mom again: Vidya Malvade

"Chak De!" girl Vidya Malvade, who to everyone's surprise played Minissha Lamba's mother in "Kidnap", says she won't play a mom again.

"I have played a mother's role in 'Kidnap', (but) that doesn't mean I will be doing these types of roles again. I won't accept an offer from any producer or director if he comes to me with a mother's role, " Vidya told.

"Kidnap" was offered to Vidya before the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer "Chak De! India", in which she played the captain of a women's hockey team.

" 'Kidnap' came to me when I had nothing on hand and I accepted it as it was an interesting role. Moreover, what excited me was that I was offered a role opposite Sanjay Dutt whom I have known for a long time and respect a lot, " Vidya said.

Directed by Sanjay Gadhvi of "Dhoom" fame, the film that released last week was panned by most critics.

Vidya said she was disappointed to see many of her scenes being edited out.

"After seeing this movie, I came to know how important editing is. Many of my scenes that I was looking forward to were edited out and it surprised me. But I think it depends on the director and the editor and they have done what was best for the film."

Although Vidya has decided not to play a mother's role again, she doesn't regret doing "Kidnap".

"I played a character. As an actor we should think of the character rather than our image and other things. At that time it was the best offer; so I accepted it. I don't repent playing the character as long as the film is good and successful, " said Vidya.

"As I don't belong to a film family, I don't have many options. I have to be content with what I get, " said the model- turned actress who debuted in 2003 with "Inteha".

" 'Chak De' gave me recognition and I am happy that people know me now. Now I want to be a complete actress playing diverse roles. I don't want to stick to a particular image. I want to move on, " she quipped.

The actress currently has three films in her kitty. In "Tum Milo To Sahi", she plays Suniel Shetty's wife. Directed by Kabir Sadanand, the film also stars Nana Patekar and Dimple Kapadia.

"I also have an interesting part in 'Striker', which revolves around a family and I am part of that family, " said Vidya, not wanting to reveal anything more.

"Striker" is being directed by Chandan Arora and also stars Siddharth of "Rang De Basanti" fame.

The third film she is doing is a comedy titled "King Con". "It's a fun film where I play the part of a car racer."

Directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia, "King Con" will also feature Govinda, Rimii Sen and Celina Jaitley.

Amrita Rao - Behenji gets a sexy makeover

In the world of the Kanganas and the Katrinas, it's difficult for a girl with a simple and sweet image like Amrita Rao to hold her own.

Even actresses who started off as girls next door like Minissha Lamba are trying hard for a super sexy makeover.

But Amrita Rao is doing well, her own way. This, inspite of being criticized time and again for being a behenji. After playing a convincing teen in 'Main Hoon Na' and a few flops later, she went ahead and turned simple and sweet for 'Vivaah' and the well made 'Welcome to Sajjanpur'.

In between there was a slightly sexy makeover for 'My name is Anthony Gonsalves' which didn't do her a world of good since the movie tanked. People seem to like Amrita only sweet and simple.

Now the lass is getting a chance to star with Amitabh Bachchan in Chandraprakash Dwivedi's next flick.

She'll be playing Arjun Rampal's wife and Tabu and Amitabh Bachchan's daughter-in-law in his upcoming film, 'The Legend of Kunal'.

According to the director, it is a very difficult role for Amrita. Though Tabu plays the central character, Amrita is very important to the central drama. Tabu portrays trishna (thirst), whereas Amrita shows purity and honesty.

It was Mrs Jaya Bachchan who suggested Amrita's name for the role of Kanchanmala. And since she's both delicate and strong and can stand up against a powerful Tabu, she's being rightly cast.

Now that's lots of praise for the young actress. Should we say inspiration for the few simple girls of B-Town?

'I have learnt to enjoy controversies' - Nisha aka Priyanka Kothari

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma's discovery Nisha aka Priyanka Kothari says she has learnt to enjoy the controversies that surround her because they are an intrinsic part of an actor's career.

"I don't feel bad when my name figures in controversies. I didn't do anything consciously to be a part of those controversies, but controversies surround me. Now, I enjoy controversies and look at their positive side, " Nisha told.

However, she doesn't like it when she is romantically linked with her mentor Varma.

"Don't ascribe things that do not relate to me. Varmaji was only a director to me and I remained an actress of his films, " Nisha said when asked about her present equations with the filmmaker.

Nisha debuted with a cameo in Varma's "Sarkar" followed by a full-fledged role in his crime thriller "James". She also featured as Basanti in "Ram Gopal Verma Ki Aag", a remake of the 1975 hit "Sholay".

She was also in the news for her skin show on screen, but the actress doesn't regret it.

When her career didn't take off in Bollywood, Nisha reverted to her original name Priyanka and moved down south. But her first Telugu film "Okka Magaadu", in which she was paired with Balakrishna, bombed.

But the actress, still better known as Nisha, is happy because despite a bad start she is getting offers. She is working in a Telugu film and also signed a Kannada film "Raaj, the Showman" in which she has teamed up with Kannada star Puneet Raj Kumar.

The actress has replaced glamorous actress Malavika in a bilingual film that will be made simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu.

Nisha is one more addition to the list of the not so successful Bollywood heroines who are making a splash in the South Indian film industry.

Currently, the actress is shooting for her debut Kannada film in Madikeri, 250 km from here.

Nisha may well take up some more offers down south, but reiterates that she would take up Kannada offers only after she completes her work in "Raaj, the Showman".

"I have worked in two schedules of the film so far in Bangalore and Mysore. We have now moved to Madikeri to shoot some songs. I am really enjoying the work here. Director Prem focuses more on details. And with a big star like Puneet Raj Kumar supporting me with the dialogues, I am really smiling all the time, " said Nisha.

Asked about her decision to revert to her original name, she said: "My father suggested that I change by name. I decided to have my original name. After the name change, I am seeing a big turnaround in my career, " she said.

Questions on Saif-Kareena annoy Soha Ali Khan

Bollywood actress Soha Ali Khan doesn't mind media attention, but asking her questions related to her brother Saif Ali Khan and his girlfriend Kareena Kapoor definitely rubs her the wrong way.

"It's very frustrating when people ask me about them, but it doesn't annoy me any more. I very calmly and politely ask the media not to ask about them (Saif and Kareena), " Soha told.

"Not because I don't want to speak about my brother or Kareena, but because I don't speak for them in case the media is not able to reach them. I don't want to be their spokesperson. Also, these questions are often private and I'm not comfortable with that, " she said.

Soha had to face the media glare earlier when her gun licence was cancelled in May. She was also in the news for posing in a sexy, skimpy outfit for lifestyle magazine Maxim.

All that is past and Soha is now relaxed, free of controversies and is enjoying every bit of entering a new decade in life. Having turned 30 on Oct 4, Soha says that she still feels like she's 16, though her responsibilities in life have increased.

"Honestly, in my heart and in my mind, I feel like I am 16, which is probably a bad thing. I need to grow up at some stage, but I am not ready to do it as yet.

"I have responsibilities now, I manage a house, I'm financially independent and have bought a new house in Mumbai - these are great things. I do feel like an adult in many ways, but when it comes to the real things, I'm very selfish and very much in the youngest child syndrome, " she said.

The actress, who made her debut with "Dil Maange More" in 2004, has featured in a variety of films but gained prominence with "Rang De Basanti", "Khoya Khoya Chand" and more recently "Mumbai Meri Jaan".

Soha was in the capital to shoot for forthcoming comedy "99" along with actor Kunal Khemu and comedian Cyrus Broacha. The actress has a long line-up of projects, signalling busy times ahead.

"I am doing a lot of comedies for the first time. There's '99', then there's 'Dil Kabaddi' where I play Irrfan Khan's wife - it's an unusual pairing. There is 'Dhoondhte Rahe Jaoge' with Kunal Khemu and then a Sudhir Mishra film 'Tera Kya Hoga Johnny' - a slightly darker film where I play a small town model.

Talking about unusual pairings, Soha will also soon be seen opposite Emraan Hashmi.

"After '99', I'm doing one romantic film opposite Emraan Hashmi. That's by Vishesh Films and Kunal Deshmukh, who directed 'Jannat', will be making it. I also have an English horror film in hand, " the actress said.

Who wants to see your talent here: Diya Mirza

Bollywood runs on "herd mentality", acknowledging only the successful films of actors and not their talent, says actress and former beauty queen Diya Mirza.

Missing from the big screen since her cameo in the box office dud "Krazzy 4", Diya hopes that her off-beat film "Bits and Pieces" opposite Rahul Bose is released soon.

She attributes her absence to the failure of her films and the industry's "biased" attitude towards her.

"It was important for me to back off from films. I started my career on a good note with big banners, good producers and good actors, but the films didn't do too well. We live in an industry (Bollywood) that runs on a herd mentality. It functions only on the number of successful films you have, not your talent, " Diya told in an interview.

Diya won the Miss Asia Pacific beauty pageant in 2000 and forayed into Bollywood in 2001 with Gautham Menon's "Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein" opposite R. Madhavan. The film did average business at the box office. But after that most of her films including "Deewaanapan", "Tumko Naa Bhool Paayenge" and "Tehzeeb" sank without a trace.

In seven years, Diya has failed to deliver a memorable performance in the lead.

She was, however, seen in cameos in hits like "Parineeta", "Lage Raho Munnabhai", "Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd." and "Shootout at Lokhandwala". She also made special appearances in box office hits "Heyy Babby" and "Om Shanti Om".

Not many know that the actress also worked in an offbeat project - National Award winning director Manmohan Mahapatra's "Bits and Pieces" opposite Rahul Bose. But the film is still awaiting release.

" 'Bits and Pieces' is ready and sitting in the can since last year. Unfortunately, some good films don't see the light of day. I am really sad people didn't get to see the film despite its diverse story and strong characters. I hope it is released, " she said.

Diya currently has five projects in her kitty - "Acid Factory", "Johnny Mastana", "Alibaug", "Kaun Bola" and "Kisaan".

The actress is more excited about "Kaun Bola", which is Arshad Warsi's first home production.

"I play a girl called Gehna in 'Kaun Bola' that is perhaps the meatiest role I have ever played. It is a character I instantly fell in love with. She is perhaps the most real character I've done in commercial movies so far. There are very few characters that are so real that you can associate with. There is a lot of me in the film, " she quipped.

The film is written by Arshad and also stars Boman Irani.

"It is a funny, light-hearted as well as an emotional film. It is not a senseless comedy like we have these days."

Diya says she is looking forward to exploring herself as an actor in her forthcoming projects and carving a niche for herself.

"I need to find my own foothold. Even if I do a small film, I need to explore myself now. Whatever I'm doing right now is satisfying me both personally and professionally. People will see a tremendous change in my upcoming films. I am working very hard to get it right this time, " she said.

What is Vidya Malvade so proud about?

Vidya Malvade's reportedly super excited about the response to her new film 'Kidnap'. The fact that many critics have panned the film isn't bothering her at all. Some have even called her a non actress who 'can't act to save her life'. But Vidya's living in her own world and has 'reasons' to be happy about.

Apparently she's excited about her so called sexy avatar, a departure from her image in 'Chak De! India'. She's particularly pleased about the cleavage revealing outfits and the ravishing costumes she has donned in the film.

She's glad that people are comparing her and saying that she gave her on screen daughter Minissha Lamba stiff competition in the film!

She has also comfortably ignored the fact that many have been making fun of how the two ladies in the film tried to outdo each other with their skimpy clothes (Minissha of course got far more chances to do that)!

She's been saying, "I thought there was a very beautiful love story between Sanjay Dutt and my character. For me what worked was that lots of scenes were deleted and there is just one scene between me and Minissha to make a comparison that I look very young or like her sister.

For me it was very important to play this character. I don't come from a family of actors. I have struggled my way up till here."

Yeah, it must have worked for her since Minishaa's face gives away her age and she's doesn't really look like a 17 or 18 year old! That's another thing 'illogical' about this unreal thriller.

She's also said, "When I get a character which is really good, I am not going to give it up just because it is the role of a mom or a grand mom.

I am very clear in my head that even if I am playing a character older than my age, I will make sure that I perform in a way that it will seem real.

Now if people start offering me mother's role, I will say no to them as I have had already played one. If a good character comes to me in whatever form, I am going to grab it big time."

That's understandable since she's been struggling to make a mark for long in B-Town.

Vikram Bhatt's disaster 'Inteha' did nothing for her and only B grade movies happened after that. 'Cha De! India' helped but there were countless other girls to compete with.

Shivani Gosain goes vroom vroom!!

Shivani Gosain who plays the stereotype conventional roles in the dailies has another adventurous side to her that not many people know.

Mostly seen in sari and jewellery laden, this gal is extremely fond of riding bikes! Infact driving a car is quite a task for this petite damsel, whereas the mere thought of riding a bike brings a big smile on her face.

"My love for riding bikes started in Delhi way back when I was in college, and since then it's just no looking back!

I have driven many different bikes and especially liked the bullet that I rode on the Mumbai highway. By all means I have a thing for bikes and also because it's so much simpler to maneuver them, chirps Shivani."

Must say Shivani is quite a girl!

There was a time when Rani Mukherjee was considered the unchallenged queen, the numero uno actress in B-Town. But not anymore!

Just three/ four years back she was hot property with hits like 'Hum Tum', 'Veer Zara', 'Bunty aur Babli' and a critically acclaimed performance in 'Black'!

But the back to back flops 'Baabul', 'Ta Ra Rum Pum', 'Laaga Chunari Mein Daag', 'Saawariya' and 'Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic' changed it all.

Since then Rani has only made news for all the wrong reasons. She's been accused of being a home breaker and the 'we're together, we're not together' status with reclusive beau Aditya Chopra hasn't helped her career or her personal life.

Even the brands which signed her on when she was hot property are losing interest in her. First it was said that the people concerned didn't want her back for the 'Nestle Munch' campaign and now the buzz is that she has been dropped from the prestigious 'Titan' watches ad campaign.

Rani was the face of the 'Titan Raga' brand for two years but reportedly now they've told her that she's is no longer needed as the re-launch phase for the watch is over!

Sources say that the decision was taken considering Rani's market saleability. After much contemplation, the company thought of doing away with the association.

It's another blow for the actress who is already trying hard to survive in the number game!

Looks people are not wrong in saying that the actress who was once named 'the most versatile actress of this generation' made a mistake by confining herself to the Chopra camp!

Ameesha wants to make most of her new sexy look

A lot of things have changed in Ameesha Patel's life since she made her debut as the cute girl next door opposite Hrithik Roshan in Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, 8 years ago.

To start off, with the actress no longer lives with her family and has even dropped her surname. Secondly, she has gone in for a spell change and now wants to be called Ameesha (note the new spelling) However, the things that interest us most is the make-over which the actress has gone through and suddenly from the cute and chirpy Ameesha Patel you have the sizzling hot Ameesha.

Ameesha sure wants to make most of her new sexy look.

After a super-successful start to her career with back to back smash hits like Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai and Gadar-Ek Prem Katha, everyone thought Ameesha would be the next big thing in Bollywood.

However, some wrong choice of films and problems galore on the personal front resulted in Ameesha's career going off-track. But now, this Gujju babe has decided its time to move on and has indeed worked hard to get into shape and the results are there for all to see.

Ameesha's sizzling bikini act in the Lazy Lamhe song from the Yash Raj flick Thoda Pyar Thoda Magic sure had the male folk asking for more.

Ameesha may not have the longest legs in tinsel-town but she doesn't mind flaunting those legs now that she is in shape. In this issue of Man's World, Ameesha confesses that she simply loves good food and can never starve.

That means that this stunning beauty surely must have gone through quite a grueling work-out schedule to lose some of the flab and look her curvaceous best.

Ameesha has always been open about the men in her life. She is currently on a high both professionally as well as personally as she has found the love of her life in hotelier-businessman Kanav Puri. As she herself says, "I hate any man who tries too hard to impress."

Well, Kanav surely seems to have got it right in wooing Madame Ameesha. Way to go babe!!!

Bubbbly Preity Zinta goes silent for Salman

Actors are defined by the roles they place on screen and off screen and after successfully representing Punjab at the IPL with her KING's IX team, Preity Zinta can now be seen in a role never attempted before with Heroes.

Preity plays Salman's war widow –the sole winner of the family who single-handedly strives to bring up her son and keep the home fires burning.

Being the perfectionist she is Preity made a dedicated choice to go back to acting school and learn how to portray the character of a rustic Punjabi woman.

Anupam Kher tutored her on how to imbibe the dialect and body language.

Samir Says, "Priety who is known for her bubbly, enthusiastic self worked on her body language and observed the locals there to portray the demure, silent but strong woman that her character is in the film. If you ask me, I think this is one of her best performances to date."

This method acting transcended onto the set as her introduction in the film is on a tractor and this achievement as another first for the feisty lady but with the help of Salman and a few assistants she mastered the skill of being in control of the tractor.

Samir says "In the scene Preity is driving a tractor, she was very nervous but she pulled it off with easy driving a full circle of the field and bringing it to a stop only a few feet away from Sohail, Vatsal and Dwij.

Even though she had control over the tractor every time I shouted cut people from the crew would run to help her stop the thing, and every time she would stop it get off and give a look as though what are you doing here I got it under control. She was super!"

Her co stars fondly remember her support and encouragement and vouch for her complete dedication. Looks like Preity is winning more than the hearts of Punjab!! We are sure Heroes will add another feather to her multifaceted cap.

Salman's not over Sneha Ullal yet!

Salman Khan is known for being tremendously devoted to his pals. People whom he considers his friends always end up getting big benefits.

A few years ago Salman Khan launched the teenaged Sneha Ullal who has an uncanny resemblance to his ex-girlfriend Aishwarya Rai. The movie 'Lucky- No Time Love' had a huge budget and was well shot in great locales abroad. But that wasn't enough to make the girl lucky in B-Town.

She also appeared in a film with Salman's not so happening brother Sohail- 'Aryan' but that too not surprisingly sank without a trace.

She's undoubtedly a good looking dame ( after all she resembles the best in the world!) but she's not really a good actress. Looks like that has gone against her!

Some of her movies like 'Kaashh... Mere Hote', 'Click' and 'Gandhi Park' have been stuck for long. Maybe that's why she's busy doing South cinema these days.

Looks like Salman wants to still do things to help her. The music of the music director turned producer Sharavan's 'Kaashh... Mere Hote' was launched by Salman on the sets of Yuvraj recently.

Though Sneha was busy shooting down South and couldn't be present, Sallu made it a point to wish her all the best.

Wonder if his wishes would be enough to salvage a long stuck film produced by a non-happening Shravan and starring the out of work Johhny Lever, his struggling protege and unexciting newcomers like Kumar Sahil and Sana!

Mallika's deadly Snake Woman look in Hissss

Now this one's a first for Mallika Sherawat. The Bollywood hottie is all set to play the role of a 'Naagin' in the Bollywood- Hollywood co-production, Hissss, directed by renowned Hollywood director Jennifer Lynch.

The film, which also stars Irrfan Khan, is about the vengeance of a 'Naagin' (The Snake Woman) and is produced by Govind Menon & Vikram Singh.

From the looks of it, a lot of detailing and effort seems to have gone in getting the right look for Mallika Sherawat's character. Mallika's character is of a snake that transforms into a stunningly attractive woman.

Robert Kurtzman, one of the greatest special effects artists of the West, has been entrusted with the job of giving the right look for Mallika in this film. Robert has worked on films such as Vanilla Sky, Pulp fiction, Spy Kids and Evil Dead. The kind of make-up used is MUFX (prosthetic make-up) which is a technology that has won numerous awards.

Two make-up artists have been working on Mallika's look and the material she wears is so slimy that at times it just sticks to the skin.

What's more Madame Sherawat can't even move in her natural way with her make-up and at times is even carried to the sets. As for those scary eyes, Mallika is seen wearing some really huge contact lenses to get the desired effect.

Bollywood has seen films like Naagin, Nagina and Jaani Dushman, which had actors transform into snakes and seek revenge but going by the detailing and styling gone into getting the right look for the Snake Woman in this film, we can safely say that this is a first of its kind in Bollywood.
